The weather in London is always tempestuous and ever-changing so it is essential that you keep up to date with it. If you are looking to fly out from Stansted it is even more important that you are aware of the weather forecast; with so many flights being cancelled for such trivial conditions as rain (occasionally). Particularly after the winter we’ve just had, where the weather caused numerous cancellations and completely disrupted the system (although, hopefully, there won’t be weather conditions like that for a long time). Therefore, for those of you flying next week, so that you know what to wear to the airport, here is the forecast.
The weather is expected to be rather overcast for the duration of the week and, although there may be a few sunny intervals the overriding feeling is that there will be rainy showers throughout the week; best to bring a coat! In terms of the temperature, it is likely to be relatively mild with lows of around 10 degrees and highs reaching the heady heights of 15 degrees; practically shorts and tee-shirt weather compared to what we’ve had recently! There will also be wind, sometimes quite strong, which will make the temperatures drop somewhat so the best option, even if you’re flying to a hot country, is to be prepared for a cold wait; it is essential that you wear a rain coat and that you wrap up warm. There won’t be any problems with the weather cancelling flights – that’s one positive! As is the nature of British weather, this forecast applies to most weeks in the year, except the middle of winter and the middle of summer.
